Does it cost more at MVRS when compared to my regular veterinarian?

Metropolitan Veterinary Referral Services is committed to providing quality care to our clients at the most reasonable cost possible. As a specialty center we rely upon the capabilities of highly trained, highly skilled, board-certified veterinary specialists, emergency veterinarians and large number of highly trained licensed nurse technicians who utilize the most technically advanced medical equipment available. We are staffed 24-hours a day, seven days a week by experienced, compassionate professionals who care about your pet and who are constantly monitoring your pet's condition.

The expenses related to maintaining a specialized staff, and a state of the art medical facility with the most sophisticated medical equipment is high. We know you expect us to provide the highest level of care possible and this is costly.

We understand that the cost of this advanced care is a significant concern for families. We understand this concern and will to the best of our ability provide you with an accurate estimate of the cost of care for your pet so you may plan accordingly. The diagnosis and treatment of diseases is not an exact science and it may not always be possible to predict the final outcome and all associated costs. You may ask for updates on your bill daily and we will keep you informed of significant changes to the costs should other expensive treatments or procedures be necessary. No procedures will be pursued without your express consent. If your bill greatly exceeds the original estimate, you may be asked to make payment installments. Please discuss any financial concerns you have before treatment begins so the medical team has a clear understanding of your wishes.

Payment for services is expected at the time of discharge. You will be asked to make a deposit up to 50% of the estimate if your pet is to be hospitalized for further treatment or evaluation.
