About MVRS

After completing three years of advanced training in internal medicine and oncology, Drs. Eric Goullaud and Ford Bell spent 10 months planning the first private Internal Medicine specialty practice in the upper Midwest. The clinic opened in the spring of 1990 and the case load expanded rapidly from the first year. An emergency referral service was added in 1992 and a strong affiliation with Veterinary Surgical Services was established in 1996. From the outset, our state of the art facility has been organized around a specially outfitted 24 hour Intensive Care Unit, and this has remained the centerpiece of the hospital. The focus of the hospital has been to train the most capable nursing staff in the upper Midwest to provide unparalleled medical care for critically ill pets. This program continues today as MVRS provides advanced training for nurses who want to pursue advanced techniques in critical care medicine. MVRS remains committed to expanding the clinic with addition of specialists in all areas of medicine and to eventually develop a new state of the art facility in a western suburbs location.

We recognize the special relationship between animals and their owners and strive to strengthen that bond while providing advanced diagnostic and therapeutic techniques. Good Communication To Reduce Your Stress

We know it is stressful when you have a sick or injured pet. That is why, in addition to specialty expertise, you can also expect the same level of compassion and care as you get from your primary veterinarian. Frequent, clear communication helps you better manage the situation and stress.

And we make the process of seeing us simple. Either you or your doctor can make the appointment. We will arrange to get a copy of the records or you may be asked to bring them with you. You may also send your information via e-mail or have your clinic send them to us. You can use to e-mail records, x-rays, lab work or any other information that may be needed for your visit. You will always know what we know and we promise to keep your veterinarian informed as well.

Our customer care team is available by phone Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Emergency receiving is available Mon - Fri 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM and Sat  8:00 AM to 8 PM and Sun. from 8:00 AM until 4:00 PM. Outpatient consultations and in-hospital medical procedures are available Monday through Friday.
